Pre-Order Information For Hosting and WordPress Installation
We want to make sure that you have all of your questions answered before you get started. Below are some of the important items that you should know.
Setup Time
The current setup time for web hosting cPanel account setup is approximately 10 minutes to 4 hours, during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 am until 7 pm PST. This includes the installation of the latest version of WordPress. A rush setup service is available for an additional fee, call us for more information.
Billing
To get your account setup, first you will fill out the order form. Your credit card will be charged for the agreed amount. On the same date that you sign up on, each month your credit card will charged. In addition to all major credit cards, BayArea-Web also accepts payment through PayPal, Western Union, wire transfer and check. If you would like to pay by Western Union, wire transfer or check, please call us at (650) 360-1901 to make payment arrangements.
Mulitiple Domains
Multiple domains cannot share the same disk space, bandwidth or traffic, however you can have multiple domains billed to the same hosting account. We’ll send you an invoice and a payment link to get you started. Our hosting supports domain forwarding, when you want one domain to redirect to another default domain (website). Call us to order multiple domain hosting on one billed account.
Domain Registration
If you don’t have a domain (a dot com address) you will need to register the domain of your choice, so long as it’s available, with GoDaddy godaddy.com as they are reliable and low cost of about $10 a year per domain.
BayArea-Web Name Servers
When moving to BayArea-Web, or when you register your domain at GoDaddy, you will need the name of BayArea-Web’s nameservers to initiate the hosting transfer. If you need help with this please contact us directly and we will be happy to assist you in any part of the move.

If you have just registered a new domain, the registration, your next step to getting a WordPress website is to fill out the order form. Then you will receive an email with information and link to your new hosting control panel and your new WordPress dashboard.
DNS Custom Configuration
In general, BayArea-Web does not offer any kind of custom hosting configurations.
Domain Transfer
Transferring your website to BayArea-Web is made simple for you. If you already have an existing website and are comfortable moving your website on your own via FTP you will receive FTP login information when you sign up for hosting. If you need help in moving your existing website to a BayArea-Web server, contact us directly by phone. We will need to take a look at your website and see what is needed to make the transition. If it is a simple transfer there will be no charge. If there is more than transferring web page – files then additional fees maybe added. It your current website is running on ASP, hosting on a Windows server, contact us for a quote on rebuilding your website in a WordPress, as BayArea-Web servers are Linux servers and do not support ASP.
Transferring Your WordPress Website
Transferring your WordPress website to host with BayArea-Web is very easy to do. WordPress has a built-in export feature, we install the latest WordPress and then it also has import capabilities. These capabilities only cover the content of the site, not the theme and plug-ins. You’ll want to choose one of our free professionally designed WordPress themes.
If you wish to keep your theme and plug-ins together with your site those will also need to be moved. BayArea-Web always installs the latest version of WordPress. We do not guarantee compatibility with any themes, templates, plug-ins widgets, or any other part or element of a site. Our service is to provide hosting of the WordPress application and keep it running. Plug-ins, widgets, themes, and WordPress itself gets updated occasionally, and many times this may cause problems with a site. BayArea-Web is not responsible for any type of compatibility issues.
Hosting Cancellation and Hosting Refund Policy
If at any time you wish to cancel your web hosting account, just fill out our Account Cancellation form. If you sign-up for web hosting, but never uploaded your website files or update your domain record to BayArea-Web nameservers, the hosting account remains active and refunds are not given for lack of action on the part of the client. Hosting is billed each month until a formal cancel request has been submitted and received. Your card will not be billed for the following month. Partial month hosting refunds are not available when canceling hosting with BayArea-Web.
