New Site

The launch of the new BayArea-Web site should be sometime next week. We’re working on the finishing touches right now and if you’re lucky enough to stumble upon it you will be surprised with all of the new goodies.
Here’s what’s coming up:
- New Ecommerce Solution! We’ve waited years for the right solution and we’ve finally found it. The new store is powerful, stable, flexible, and totally integrates into your site. It works really well as a front end to your site. For the perfect example just look at our homepage. This was built using our online store.
- Our new gallery is such a fantastic solution for organizing images online. It has a light box, scrolling capabilities, description fields and more. The most amazing part is editing the order of the pictures and editing the content. It’s drag and drop simplicity.
- The next part is the CMS. This is what really ties everything together. What is the good of having a great site if you can’t edit it yourself. Our new CMS gives you that power, when and where you want it on your site.
- WordPress integration. This is another solution separate from the site. We’ve added a WordPress portion to our site, but it’s also quite possible to run your entire site using WP. This is a great, low-cost solution that can grow with you.
As you can see, there’s a lot of exciting news coming up. We’ll keep you informed.

I just finished my first draft for Energy Track. Here’s a bit about what it says on their homepage:

Today I am working on several projects. First a law firm client, from the midwest, approved their new web home page design and now they want some revisions on the first sub page layout. We’re getting closer to getting their new web site launched. I’ll be asking them to suggest some keywords to help boost their new site in the search engines.
I have to make some phone calls today. One call will be to a landscape architect, in the north Bay Area who wants his web site updated with a new Facebook business fan page. Then I need to call a client from Arizona, who is opening a solar business and we are beginning the first draft of their new web site. Then I have to make a call to a client about the finishing touches on web site home page for his hotel in southern California.
Then I’ll go through my email Inbox. Busy, busy….

BayArea-Web will be continue to support all of our phone numbers. The one big difference is that we’re now adding a local number for bay area businesses. The new number is: 650-360-1901. You can also reach us by email at: info@bayarea-web.com
I’ll start posting drafts of the new site over the next week. I really love the way it looks…it’s very new and fresh and has a lot more interactivity than anything we’ve ever done before. The new site will be posted at: http://www.bayarea-web.com. There’s a rough draft there now of the homepage….much more to come. Just wait until you see our video starring our model Sarah Johnson.

I just finished up my first draft for one of our newest customers. One of their primary products is a ergonomic chair that’s incredibly comfortable. When I saw the chair initially I didn’t really know what to think. …then I sat in it. Wow! Very nice product and well made. I had a chance to check out the chair for a couple of weeks while I had it in our office for a photo shoot. I did the photos myself and the customer is thrilled.

The last few months has been very exciting for me. After keeping the name AZ-Web for more than twelve years we’ve finally decided to make the change to BayArea-Web. I’m was born and raised in Redwood City and went to Sequoia High School. I live in Redwood City and the surrounding areas for quite a few years prior to moving to Southern California. Eventually I made it to Arizona and that’s where we started the business. Hence, the name AZ-Web. Even back then I missed the Bay Area. I’ve missed my friends and family for many years and now we’re home. Even my wife grew up in Los Gatos!
Besides the name change, we’re also rolling out some incredible new services. We now offer one of the most sophisticated, yet easy to operate CMS’s in the industry. This powerful solution is what we’ve been waiting for. In the past, every CMS that we’ve worked with make you work within their boundaries. You are basically provided a template which you then customize as much as you can. In most cases it’s nearly impossible to get the layout that you want and you have to sacrifice usability and design for functionality. Our new CMS is different. We can now build you your site the way you want, with the design you desire. After it’s complete we simply define editable areas. This will allow you to go in any time and make edits, quickly and easily.
The next piece of the pie is our amazing new shopping cart solution. In many ways it works like the CMS. You can really customize the layout and make it look the way you want. It’s fast and powerful and has more features than I’m going to list here. The best part about it is that it totally integrates with the CMS! This really puts things together for you and makes editing your site and store fast and fun.
Finally, if that isn’t enough, we’ve also added a new Photo Gallery that will knock your socks off! For years we’ve been battling looking for the perfect photo gallery and until now we’ve never found one that we felt would fit all the needs of our customers. Now that has all changed. Our new gallery has all kinds of fun features including lightbox and watermarks. And, of course…it integrates with the CMS and the Shopping Cart.
We’ll be rolling out all of these new products over the next couple of months. Starting on May 28th you’ll be able to purchase any of these products plus we’ll be running a special promotion to kick it all off.
